A feature vector is a structured list of numbers in which each number represents the value of one feature of an object or phenomenon described in the dataset. When feature values are not initially given as numbers, they are converted into numerical values before being integrated into the vector. Feature vectors are provided as an input to machine learning models. 3, record 1, English, - feature%20vector

3, record 8, French, - g%C3%A9or%C3%A9f%C3%A9rencement

Modifying the geometry of an image (which may be from either a remotely sensed or map data source) [that] usually involves rectification and/or registration. 3, record 14, English, - resampling
Record number: 14, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Overview of resampling methods. From the perspective of space, a satellite camera or sensor takes images that provide unique Earth information at scales ranging from very small to very large. To better understand an image, its shape, scale and perspective often are changed by rectification, orthorectification or map projection to relate it to real world coordinates. During that process, however, gaps between pixels may form, requiring that images be resampled to fill in those missing pixels. There are basically 3 methods of resampling : nearest neighbor, bilinear interpolation and cubic convolution. 4, record 14, English, - resampling

It is generally found that natural objects possess self-similarity and self-affinity in their structures. Fractal analysis, a technique based on these properties, has been widely used in various research applications. In the active remote sensing of the earth terrain, it is possible to extract this fractal information from the images obtained. In this application, fractal surface dimension, an important parameter in fractal analysis, can be employed as an additional feature to classify different landuse areas. This fractal surface dimension is generally related to the roughness of the surface. By keeping the x and y coordinates of the pixels of the image, and taking the grey level of each pixel as its z coordinate, a three-dimensional surface can be constructed. The calculation of fractal surface dimension can then be carried out on that surface. 2, record 16, English, - fractal%20analysis

3, record 16, French, - analyse%20fractale

The Sierpinski points... form what is called the invariant set of the map : once a Sierpinski point, always a Sierpinski point. If you start with a Sierpinski point with irrational coordinates, its orbit may look completely chaotic, but the succession of image points is fully determined by the coordinate values of the initial point. This is why such behavior, which abounds in nature, is called deterministic chaos.... 1, record 29, English, - Sierpinski%20point
