The different sources of this noise could be due to periodic drift or malfunction of the detector, or due to electronic interference among sensor components, or due to problem in the transmission and recording process. Recently, the so-called "flexo CTP(Computer to Plate) method" has been developed. In this method, a thin, light absorption layer called "Black layer" is formed on the surface of a photosensitive resin plate, and the resultant resin plate is irradiated with a laser to ablate(evaporate) desired portions of the black layer to form a mask bearing an image(formed by the unablated portions of the black layer) on the resin plate directly without separately perparing a mask. Subsequently, the resultant resin plate is imagewise exposed to light through the mask, to thereby crosslink the exposed portions of the resin, followed by developing treatment in which the unexposed portions of the resin(i. e., uncrosslinked resin portions) are washed away with a developing liquid. 4, record 11, English, - black%20layer

The Soft-Thresholding Image Analysis(STIA) computational algorithm was developed to rapidly detect anomalous regions in digital(or digitized) radiographs. It is implemented mostly on an image processor, with a small portion of the computation performed by the host computer. STIA generates a computerized image, or "mask", out of individual pixels that have been evaluated in terms of their "gray level", or brightness. Requiring only 12 s to generate a region-of-interest mask, STIA is sufficiently fast for use in nearly real-time inspection applications. 1, record 13, English, - Soft%2DThresholding%20Image%20Analysis

The Lorenz attractor. This magical image, resembling an owl' s mask or butterfly's wings, became en emblem for the early explorers of chaos. It revealed the fine structure hidden within a disorderly stream of data. Traditionally, the changing values of any one variable could be displayed in a so-called time series. To show the changing relationships among three variables required a different technique. At any instant in time, the three variables fix the location of a point in three-dimensional space; as the system changes, the motion of the point represents the continuously changing variables. Because the system never exactly repeats itself, the trajectory never intersects itself. Instead it loops around and around forever. 2, record 17, English, - Lorenz%20attractor

2, record 17, French, - attracteur%20de%20Lorenz
