A diffusion probabilistic model is a type of generative model that generates data by simulating a diffusion process. This process involves gradually adding noise to data(for example, an image) and then learning how to reverse this process to recover the original data. 6, record 1, English, - diffusion%20probabilistic%20model

A model evasion attack would allow attackers to modify inputs into the AI [artificial intelligence] model in a way that causes it to misclassify or misinterpret them, changing its intended behavior. This can be done visibly to a human observer(for example, putting small stickers on stop signs to cause self-driving cars to ignore them) or invisibly(for example, changing individual pixels in an image by adding noise that tricks an object recognition model). 2, record 2, English, - model%20evasion%20attack

Using analytical representations for images, one can develop systematic algorithms for accomplishing a particular image-related task. As an example, model-based optimal estimation-theoretic principles can be applied to find edges in textured images or remove blur and noise from degraded images. Another advantage of using image models is that one can develop techniques to validate a given model for a given image. On the basis of such a validation, the performance of algorithms can be compared. 1, record 3, English, - analytical%20representation

3, record 7, French, - corr%C3%A9lateur%20optique

The Fourier process is normally used to identify and remove systematic noise spikes, such as regular lines that may have been introduced by a faulty image collection device. The process works as a two-way operation. First the forward transform creates a pair of intermediate raster objects that reveal abnormal data variability. After the values in those raster objects have been edited to remove the data spikes, the inverse transformation creates a raster object with the same image as the original, but with lines or other noise removed. 3, record 8, English, - Fourier%20transform

New methods of acoustic imaging are presented that provide images with reduced reverberation noise and images of nonlinear scattering and propagation parameters of the object, and estimation methods of corrections for wave front aberrations produced by spatial variations in the acoustic propagation velocity. The methods find use in a variety of applications such as acoustic imaging of geological structures, SONAR imaging of sub-sea objects, and medical ultrasound imaging. The methods are based on processing of the received signal from transmitted dual frequency band acoustic pulse complexes with overlapping high and low frequency pulses. The high frequency pulse is used for the image reconstruction and the low frequency pulse is used to manipulate the nonlinear scattering and/or propagation properties of the high frequency pulse. 3, record 10, English, - acoustic%20imaging

Radiometric improvements... increase the capacity to observe and recognise objects on the image. Essentially, two processes are applied for this purpose. The first is the focusing of the image, in order to increase its definition, reduce noise and emphasize the linear elements. The second process is the enhancement of local contrast in the range of greys, so that the distribution of the values of an area changes in order to occupy a larger part of the possible greys in accordance with its surroundings. 3, record 12, English, - radiometric%20improvement

The Gamma filter performs gamma map filtering. Gamma filtering is primarily used on radar data to remove high frequency noise(speckle) while preserving high frequency features(edges). The Gamma Map filter was first proposed by Kuan.... Lopes modified the Kuan Map filter by assuming a gamma distributed scene and setting up two thresholds. The gamma filter size ranges from 1 to 11. Different filter sizes will greatly affect the quality of processed images. If the filter is too small, the noise filtering algorithm is not effective. If the filter is too large, subtle details of the image will be lost in the filtering process. A 7x7 filter usually gives the best results.... The GAMMA filter performs spatial filtering on each individual pixel in an image using the grey level values in a square window surrounding each pixel. The dimensions of the filter must be odd, and can be from 3x3 to 11x11 pixels. 2, record 16, English, - gamma%20filter

Theoretical studies have shown the potential scientific value of multi-spacecraft radio tomographic imaging of the magnetosphere. The <10 RE WIND perigee passes during August 2000 afforded a unique opportunity to test and verify the capabilities of radio tomography by measuring interspacecraft electromagnetic wave propagation parameters using the Radio Plasma Imager(RPI) on IMAGE as the transmitter and the WAVES instrument on WIND as the receiver.... We show how changes in the path-integrated electron density/magnetic field product can be unambiguously measured from this continuous, low signal to noise ratio, single frequency measurement. 2, record 24, English, - single%20frequency%20measurement

Figure 1... shows the principle of laminography, a synchronized motion between an X-ray source and a detector generating an geometric focus plane and forms an X-ray slice image of that. Objects in the focal plane are always projected at the same position of the detector. On the other hand, those that are not in the focal plane are projected to other positions of the detector and thus are blurred as the source and detector move in a complete circle. Thus the "noise" from the materials above and below the focal plane is eliminated when all the images on the detectors are overlapped. 2, record 30, English, - laminography
