After photographers have made their images, they may utilize the SOCOG [Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games] Photo Transport System and have their film or disks taken to either an on-site photo lab or to the MPC [Main Press Center] for processing. Photo Marshals and Photo Messengers within the venue will collect properly identified and bagged film/disks and prepare them for transport. The film will be dispatched to the MPC via motorcycle couriers who will transport film bags from each venue to the Kodak Image Center.

L'entreprise McDonald, Dettwiler & Associates a été retenue comme partenaire privé du projet. La société italienne Alenia Aerospazio, qui possède une grande expérience de la construction de capteurs hyperfréquences, y compris d'altimètres radar, de radiomètres et de SAR destinés aux satellites d'observation de la Terre de l'ESA, sera quant à elle chargée de la construction de la plate-forme de Radarsat-2.

In the Meteorological Products Extraction Facility(MPEF) meteorological products are operationally extracted from METEOSAT image data for use in forecasting and research work. The extraction is performed in an automatic processing scheme and includes an automatic quality control step as an integral part of the processing. The products are produced in near real time on a networked system of HP Apollo workstations running proprietary software. The system runs in "chains" where two workstations operate together to produce all products. Due to the CPU load required to produce the wind products, the processing is partitioned such that these products are generated on one of the chain processors, whilst the remaining products are derived on the other chain processor.

EOCOM Corporation's Laserite system uses lasers to expose an image on the coating of a lithographic plate; the plate then requires conventional processing.
