Ophthalmic sonography utilizes sound waves emitted from a transducer which is reflected or absorbed by the anatomy of the eye. The electrical signal is then relayed back to the computer and converted to an image. Sonography can be used to evaluate both the anterior and posterior aspects of the globe. 3, record 1, English, - ophthalmic%20ultrasound

In 3D ultrasonography, multiple consecutive two-dimensional B-scan images are utilized to create a 3D block... The probe is held in fixed, trans scleral orientation and serial images are rapidly obtained as the transducer rotates 200 degrees.
