The Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research is a collaboration between Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation, a charitable trust established to assist victims of family violence, the University of New Brunswick, community-based organizations and government. Research from this Centre looks mainly at woman abuse/violence against women, specifically on rural issues, dating violence, immigrant communities, Aboriginal communities, substance abuse and sexual harassment. In the area of child abuse and neglect, research focuses on developing peaceful environments in schools, anger development and children in foster care.
