For rapid diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 [severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2] infection, rapid antigen detection(RAD) tests for qualitative determination of SARS-CoV-2 antigen are available. RAD tests detect viral antigen by the immobilized coated SARS-CoV-2 antibody on the device. The test results of RAD can be interpreted without specialized instruments and available within 30 min.

The Bartels PRIMA SystemTM Cytomegalovirus IgM Enzyme Immunoassay is a rapid, qualitative method for the detection of IgM Antibody to cytomegalovirus in human serum. Patient serum is diluted with specimen diluent that contains an absorbent to remove IgG. The absorbent prevents IgG/rheumatoid factor complexes from forming and prevents interfering competition from IgG during the test procedure. The treated serum is incubated with purified CMV antigens bound to EIA plate wells. If antibodies to CMV are present, they bind to the antigen and do not rinse off. Subsequently, when enzyme labeled anti-human IgM is added to the reaction site, it binds to the immobilized antibodies. After washing and the addition of a chromogenic substrate and stop solution, specimens containing antibodies to CMV produce a color endpoint reaction which is measured and compared to negative and positive controls, and may be measured spectrophotometrically.

DEF

Any immunologic procedure in which a labeled indicator is added to the specifically reacting antigen and antibody. Most often it is a solid-phase immunosorbent procedure in which the labeled reactant is immunologically similar to the immobilized reactant, thereby sandwiching the material under test between layers of known reactants. Indirect fluorescent antibody techniques are also sandwich techniques.

  • Immunologie
CONT

Techniques d'immunofluorescence. [...]

CONT

A study has been made of the efficacy of different immunization protocols using low antigen levels for the generation of monoclonal antibodies capable of detecting antigens(ADCP) in processed tissues. Protocols using unprocessed native antigen immobilized on nitrocellulose were more efficient than soluble antigen in generating serum antibodies reactive with both native antigen and processed tissues. The derived monoclonal antibodies reacted with native but not processed antigen. The use of antigen immobilized on polyvinylidene(PVDF) and subsequently processed as for histochemistry was successful in generating monoclonal antibodies reactive with processed antigen.
