The James Bay Advisory Committee on the Environment(JBACE) was created in 1978 pursuant to Section 22 of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement(JBNQA). As an advisory body to the responsible governments, the JBACE is mandated to review and oversee the administration and management of the environmental and social protection regime established by the JBNQA.
