In response to that interest, CNSC staff has agreed to accompany the KIA [Kivalliq Inuit Association] and other agencies on an inspection of the Kiggavik-Sissons sites this summer(2002), discuss the results of the inspection in the community as a demonstration of how to manage radiological risks, invite KIA representatives to a CNSC Radiation Instrumentation Course scheduled for September 2002, and consult with the KIA and Nunavut Impact Review Board on the licensing trigger guidance document discussed above in section 4. 1 of this Record of Proceeding.

One important aspect of the physics of stars is the way in which radiation generated inside is transported out-it can alter the temperature and pressure of the star, and affect the distribution of mass within. At the same time, radiation transport affects the excitation and ionization of atoms in the star, which in turn affects the way in which radiation is transported. Ionization also makes extra electrons available, and so radiation transport, and the details of photo-excitation, ultimately has an impact on the equation of state of the star-the relationship of temperature, density and pressure.

To determine the impact of the planetary-scale Asian monsoon variability on regional or basin-scale hydrological cycle and water management is another essential part of this program. That is also compatible with the main objectives of GEWEX.

Eutrophication.-The impact of the GNBS on eutrophication can be evaluated by nutrient cycling models well known from literature which among others describe changes in the biomass due to growth, death, sedimentation and convective transport. The growth rate is a complicated, non-linear function of the temperature, solar radiation, suspended solids concentration and the biomass itself(called the self-shading effect). The death rate depends primarily on the temperature.
