Jet dyeing is a process that can be used for batch dyeing operations such as dyeing, bleaching, washing and rinsing. In this process, dyeing is accomplished in a closed tubular system, basically composed of an impeller pump and a shallow dye bath. The fabric to be dyed is loosely collapsed in a form of a rope, and tied into a loop. The impeller pump supplies a jet of dye solution, propelled by water and/or air, to force the fabric to move through the tube into the shallow bath. Turbulence created by the jet aids in dye penetration and prevents the fabric from touching the walls of the tube, thus minimizing mechanical impact on the fabric.

The format of what would become the Shearwater International Air Show or SIAS began to crystallize in 1981. Obviously, it could not compete with bigger shows playing to larger population centres. So, if the biggest was not possible, SIAS aimed to be the best. The show's search for excellence was rewarded by many successes; air displays equaling any in the country and over 75 different static aircraft from as many as seven countries. In addition, over 80 high-quality ground exhibits were displayed, including such as an Iraqi Scud missile and the weapon which brought it down, the US Army's Patriot System. Efforts to raise the Nova Scotia International Air Show(NSIAS) from the ashes were unsuccessful in 1996, but a few dedicated believers took on the task to try again for 1997 and were more than rewarded for their efforts. NSIAS 97 was a co-production of the three levels of government, the private sector and the military in the Atlantic Region. A lot of hard work, negotiations and good will produced a first class show that had all the trade marks of past SIAS events and then some. With a superb two-day attendance and an overall economic impact exceeding 14 million dollars, Shearwater and Nova Scotia were clearly on the air show map.

SIPA is a demonstration and evaluation project based on a model of integrated care for the frail elderly. The LiMCA II system characterizes the cleanliness of a melt at time intervals of the order of 1 minute. It therefore monitors quasi-continuously, and in real time, the evolution of cleanliness along a cast, as a function of process parameters and melt-handling practices. The impact of furnace preparation, allowing practice, feedstock mix, settling time, and similar parameters on melt cleanliness, is easily determined. The effects of routine casting practices(metal level control, turbulence in the metal distributor) are directly observed as they take place. The time at which inclusion flushing from the holder starts at the end of a cast are determined for different sets of casting parameters, enabling the metallurgist to stop the cast at the right time to minimize the need for heel removal.

When an inertial navigation system is immobile, the gyros measure bias values that are integrated by the calculator and the unit thinks that it is rotating, and therefore advancing across the surface of the terrestrial globe, which generates a position error. It will be understood that position error shows linear growth over time and there is a direct relationship between the accuracy of a gyro and position drift.

Aerofall Mill. The aerofall autogenous and semi-autogenous air swept mills are additional solutions for dry grinding. These mills are typically very large in diameter and very short in length achieving high throughput. CAVEAT's(Canadians Against Violence Everywhere Advocating its Termination) mission is to contribute to the creation and maintenance of a just, peaceful society through public education, changes to the justice system, and ensuring the rights of victims. This can only be achieved by a significant reduction in both the number of occurrences of violence and the severity or impact of such violence. CAVEAT was incorporated as a non-for-profit charitable organization in June, 1992 and received its charitable designation in October, 1992. CAVEAT maintains its head office in Burlington, Ontario, with regional volunteer committees in Edmonton, Alberta and Langley, British Columbia.
