Lock-in is a fundamental physical phenomenon associated with all oscillating devices. 3, record 38, French, - blocage
Record number: 38, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Since all real measurements are imperfect, some amount of error will accumulate in the course of a survey. That error can be logically distributed throughout the survey by various adjustment procedures(i. e., manipulation of the data to produce a more logical result). Adjustments can and should be done with any set of measurements for which error can be assessed. Adjustment procedures do not correct the errors in the measurements. They simply produce a set of data that is self-consistent... The adjusted values are not necessarily true-they are just likely to be closer to the true values than the original measurements. 4, record 41, English, - adjustment

A staring sensor is one that can lock onto a point and compensate for the forward motion of the platform. This mitigates the areal change platform-induced problem, however, other motion problems will become significant. A staring sensor must compensate for pixel change as the platform moves toward or away from the chosen staring point. In this staring geometry, one will have to consider the drift induced by slightly imperfect aiming or imperfect stabilization. In all viewing modes, the stability of the platform is important, as any jitter or vibrations will be transformed into pixel motion on the ground. 3, record 46, English, - staring%20sensor

Children’s paddling is often more chaotic, with the arms alternately clawing at the water to move forward; breathing is irregular, legs thrashing and inconsistent. A more mature dog paddle can be rhythmic and steady, but the arms never go out of the water and the head is never submerged. Thus the stroke closely resembles a dog moving through the water. 3, record 54, English, - dog%20paddle

Lock-in is a fundamental physical phenomenon associated with all oscillating devices. Laser gyros exibit the same phenomenon, in that the coupling mechanism is the reflection of light from one laser beam back along the path where it interacts with the oppositley traveling beam. This is called backscatter and is caused primarily by imperfect mirrors. Therefore, at low rotation rates, there is no frequency difference between the counter-rotating beams so that the gyroscope does not indicate any rotation. In spite of the ring laser gyro's dead zone whith lock-in thresholds on the order of hundreds of degrees per hour, it is still feasible to obtain measurements of rotation rates of less than 1 deg/h. 1, record 56, English, - ring%20laser%20gyro%26rsquo%3Bs%20dead%20zone

People suffering from blindsight are totally blind because of lesions in area V1. Yet if they are forced to guess, they can discriminate correctly among a wide variety of visual stimuli.
