The purpose of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Official Languages(DACOL), chaired by the Director of Programs and Liaison of the Treasury Board Secretariat's [TBS] Official Languages Branch, is to provide a mechanism for consultation and communication concerning official languages among the main players in official languages : the TBS, the Privy Council Office, Justice Canada, the Public Service Commission, the Translation Bureau, Canadian Heritage, the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages(with observer status) and the departments and agencies(about 30).
