The mandate of the Technolinguistic Committee is to supply the French on the Internet sub-committee of the Committee of Deputy Ministers on Official Languages in connection with implementing the recommendations on increasing the use of French on the Internet, and to provide a forum for exchanges between computer experts and official languages experts. This committee consists of representatives from the Translation Bureau, the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, Canadian Heritage, Industry Canada and the National Research Council of Canada.

In the context of supporting «La Relève» initiatives for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans(DFO) employees, the department is implementing an EX Bridging Program to accelerate the appointment, training and marketing of worthy candidates and to ensure better representation in the EX group in DFO. The program is managed corporately, under the overall direction of the Deputy Minister(DM) and with the full participation of all assistant deputy ministers and regional directors general, who are accountable for the development and implementation of plans for individual participants.
