Noonan syndrome is typically a genetically inherited disorder with heterogeneous phenotypic manifestations that can change with age. The most consistent features are wide-set eyes, low-set ears, short stature, and pulmonic stenosis. Noonan syndrome is typically inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. At least 8 gene mutations can cause this syndrome, and patient presentation can range from mild to severe. 5, record 1, English, - Noonan%20syndrome

6, record 1, French, - syndrome%20de%20Noonan

A territory that entered the Canadian Confederation in 1898 as the "Yukon Territory", out of the District of Yukon created in 1895 in the Northwest Territories. Until 1999, the Yukon used to stand eleventh in the order of precedence established according to the year of entry into Confederation of the ten provinces, then of the territories, listed, by convention, before the Northwest Territories even if the latter entered Confederation 28 years before. It now stands twelfth, after the Northwest Territories and before Nunavut. On March 27, 2002, the name was changed to "Yukon" even if the status of territory remains. 2, record 3, English, - Yukon
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The name of a territory and its form, spelling and abbreviation are to be decided by the provincial toponymy authority, with the agreement of the Government of Canada. One uses "Yukon" (or "territory of Yukon") for the geographical entity, "Yukon" for the provincial administration or as the short form, and "Yk." as the abbreviation to be officially recognized by the toponymic authority, a change from the previous "Y.T.". 2, record 3, English, - Yukon
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Approved by ISO, the Canada Post two-character symbol is YT (or CA-YT), [to be changed to YK (or CA-YK) if a request to that extent is made and accepted]. This symbol is the same in all languages and must be used only in postal addresses and statistical charts where the identification of provinces and territories is restricted to two characters. A two-character territorial symbol must not be used instead of the abbreviation in a text or on a geographical map, a poster or a road sign. 2, record 3, English, - Yukon
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 3 OBS
The use of the definite article in English before "Yukon" is dependent upon how it is used in the context. If "Yukon" modifies another term, then the article is omitted. e. g. Yukon Indians comprise 25% of the population of the territory. If "Yukon" takes the inflected genitive('s), then the use of the article is optional. e. g.(the) Yukon's wildlife resources;(the) Yukon's native people. In every other case, the use of the definite article would be in keeping with common usage as it signals the absence of a generic geographic feature. Hence we say "the Mediterranean"(implied : Sea), "the Philippines"(implied :"Islands"). Currently, there is some debate as to the appropriateness of the definite article, all the more since "the Yukon"(implied :"territory") is seeking political parity with the other established "provinces"(statement of 1991). [Usage can thus tend to drop the article as is the case before the name of a province. ] 6, record 3, English, - Yukon

3, record 3, French, - Yukon
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
3, record 3, French, - Yukon
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 OBS
3, record 3, French, - Yukon

Do not confuse "warranty" and "guaranty". guarantee. A. And "warranty". Originally the same word, "warranty" and "guarantee"(or "-ty") arrived in the language through different medieval French dialects. "Guarantee" is the broader term, ordinarily meaning either(1) "the act of giving a security; the undertaking with respect to(a contract, performance of a legal act, etc.) that it shall be duly carried out, "or(2) "something given or existing as security, e. g., for fulfillment of an engagement or condition"(OED). "Warranty", as a legal term, has slightly more specific and elaborate senses :(1) "a covenant(either express or implied) annexed to a conveyance of realty by which the seller warrants the security of the title conveyed";(2) "an assurance, express or implied, given by the seller of goods, that he will be answerable for their possession of some quality attributed to them"(the seller hereby disclaims all warranties) ;or(3) "in a contract for insurance, an engagement by the insured that certain statements are true or that certain conditions shall be fulfilled"(OED). B. And "guaranty". The distinction in BrE once was that the former is the verb, the latter the noun. Yet "guarantee" is now commonly used as both n. & v. t. in both AmE and BrE. In practice, "guarantee", n., is the usual term, seen often, for example, in the context of consumer warranties or other assurances of quality or performance. "Guaranty", in contrast, is now used primarily in financial and banking contexts in the sense "a promise to answer for the debt of another. ""Guaranty" is now rarely seen in nonlegal writing, whether in G. B. or in the U. S. Some legal writers prefer "guaranty" in all nominal senses. 6, record 13, English, - warranty%20period

It is sometimes difficult to determine whether a statement is a representation inducing the other party to contract, or a term or stipulation of the contract. It is the terms which give content to the parties’ agreement, and questions of whether a contract has been performed or breached commonly depend on ascertainment and interpretation of the terms agreed. Terms may be express, stated in the contract, or imported by reference to some other document where they are set out in full, or implied into the contract, by common law, by custom and usage, by statute, and in some other ways.(Walker, p. 1211) 2, record 14, English, - term

In the past we have taken, and we are still committee to, a selective approach to any transition landlord and tenant law might make from property to contract.... The Commission recommends that in The Landlord and Tenant Act, and in these other Acts, the term "lease" should be discarded in favour of the term "tenancy agreement".... The following definition is suggested :"tenancy agreement" means a written, oral or implied agreement between a landlord and a tenant for the possession of premises.(O. L. R. In addition to the terms which the parties have expressly adopted, there may be other terms imported into the contract, these latter being generally known as implied terms, though this nomenclature is misleading in that it covers a number of dissimilar notions. As a general rule, the courts will enforce not only the terms expressly agreed between the parties, but also those which are to be logically implied from those express terms.... Even where a term may not be logically implied from the words used, the law admits of certain other terms to be implied as follows :(1) terms which the parties probably had in mind but did not express;(2) terms which the parties, whether or not they actually had them in mind, would probably have expressed if the question had been brought to their attention; and(3) terms that, whether or not the parties had them in mind or would have expressed them if they had foreseen the difficulty, are implied rules of law.(9 Hals., 4th ed., p. 224) 1, record 17, English, - implied%20term

Actual notice has been defined as notice expressly and actually given, and brought home to the party directly. The term "actual notice", however, is generally given a wider meaning as embracing two classes, express and implied; the former includes all knowledge of a degree above that which depends upon collateral inference, or which imposes upon the party the further duty of inquiry; the latter imputes knowledge to the party because he is shown to be conscious of having the means of knowledge. In this sense actual notice is such notice as is positively proved to have been given to a party directly and personally, or such as he is presumed to have received personally because the evidence within his knowledge was sufficient to put him upon inquiry.(Black, 6th ed., 1990, pp. 1061-1062). 1, record 19, English, - actual%20notice

System under which any outstanding items at a particular point in time are deleted from an order and cancelled. Thus clerical systems are not impeded by balances and the purchaser is free to buy elsewhere or re-order at a later date. The term is sometimes used if the contract has a specified or implied completion date. After that date, no further deliveries will be accepted. An example of this may be when goods have been ordered specifically for a seasonal trade. 1, record 26, English, - automatic%20cancellation
