Noonan syndrome is typically a genetically inherited disorder with heterogeneous phenotypic manifestations that can change with age. The most consistent features are wide-set eyes, low-set ears, short stature, and pulmonic stenosis. Noonan syndrome is typically inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. At least 8 gene mutations can cause this syndrome, and patient presentation can range from mild to severe.

A territory that entered the Canadian Confederation in 1898 as the "Yukon Territory", out of the District of Yukon created in 1895 in the Northwest Territories. Until 1999, the Yukon used to stand eleventh in the order of precedence established according to the year of entry into Confederation of the ten provinces, then of the territories, listed, by convention, before the Northwest Territories even if the latter entered Confederation 28 years before. It now stands twelfth, after the Northwest Territories and before Nunavut. On March 27, 2002, the name was changed to "Yukon" even if the status of territory remains.

The name of a territory and its form, spelling and abbreviation are to be decided by the provincial toponymy authority, with the agreement of the Government of Canada. One uses "Yukon" (or "territory of Yukon") for the geographical entity, "Yukon" for the provincial administration or as the short form, and "Yk." as the abbreviation to be officially recognized by the toponymic authority, a change from the previous "Y.T.".

Approved by ISO, the Canada Post two-character symbol is YT (or CA-YT), [to be changed to YK (or CA-YK) if a request to that extent is made and accepted]. This symbol is the same in all languages and must be used only in postal addresses and statistical charts where the identification of provinces and territories is restricted to two characters. A two-character territorial symbol must not be used instead of the abbreviation in a text or on a geographical map, a poster or a road sign.

The use of the definite article in English before "Yukon" is dependent upon how it is used in the context. If "Yukon" modifies another term, then the article is omitted. e. g. Yukon Indians comprise 25% of the population of the territory. In every other case, the use of the definite article would be in keeping with common usage as it signals the absence of a generic geographic feature. Hence we say "the Mediterranean"(implied : Sea), "the Philippines"(implied :"Islands"). Currently, there is some debate as to the appropriateness of the definite article, all the more since "the Yukon"(implied :"territory") is seeking political parity with the other established "provinces"(statement of 1991). [Usage can thus tend to drop the article as is the case before the name of a province. ]

"Guaranty", in contrast, is now used primarily in financial and banking contexts in the sense "a promise to answer for the debt of another. The circle of care is not a defined term under PHIPA [Personal Health Information Protection Act]. It is a term of reference used to describe health information custodians and their authorized agents who are permitted to rely on an individual' s implied consent when collecting, using, disclosing or handling personal health information for the purpose of providing direct health care. In a physician's office, the circle of care would include : the physician, the nurse, a specialist or other health care provider referred by the physician, and any other health care professional selected by the patient, such as a registered dietitian, pharmacist or physiotherapist. In a hospital, the circle of care would include : the attending physician and the health care team(e. g., residents, nurses, registered dietitians, technicians, clinical clerks and employees assigned to the patient) who have direct responsibilities of providing care to the individual.

Le terme «cercle de soins» n'est pas défini dans la LPRPS [Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels sur la santé]. Il est utilisé pour désigner les dépositaires de renseignements sur la santé et leurs mandataires autorisés qui peuvent s'appuyer sur le consentement implicite d'une personne pour recueillir, utiliser, divulguer ou traiter des renseignements personnels sur la santé en vue de fournir des soins de santé directs. Par exemple : dans un cabinet de médecin, le cercle de soins comprend : le médecin, l'infirmière, un spécialiste ou un autre fournisseur de soins de santé désigné par le médecin et tout autre professionnel de la santé sélectionné par la patiente ou le patient, comme une pharmacienne ou un pharmacien ou un physiothérapeute; dans un hôpital, le cercle de soins comprend : le médecin de garde et l'équipe de soins de santé (p. ex., les médecins résidents, les infirmières, les techniciens, les externes et les employés affectés aux patients) qui exercent des responsabilités directes quant aux soins à fournir à la personne.
