Norwegian agricultural products are highly protected from international competition. Imports of milk, meat, berries, fruit, and vegetables are controlled through quantity restrictions, trading by state-owned companies, licensing, health and sanitary regulations and a price support system. The Norwegian Grain Corporation controls the importation of grains and feed concentrates, and issues import licenses for fruits and vegetables.
