Under PARNS, Revenue Canada notifies participants electronically of releases under the Release Notification System. Participants such as customs account security holders(importers or brokers) can attach delivery instructions to a release record for the information of another participant, e. g., informing a warehouse operator or carrier to hold goods for pick-up. Participants such as sufferance warehouse operators can also notify customs of the arrival of goods. The Department then returns a message to the warehouse operator with the status of the goods, i. e., whether they were released or referred.

Dans le cadre du STAM-SEA, Revenu Canada informe électroniquement les participants de la mainlevée. Les participants, tels que des titulaires de comptes garantis des douanes (importateurs ou courtiers), peuvent annexer des instructions de livraison au document d'enregistrement de la mainlevée, à des fins d'information (par exemple, pour demander à l'exploitant d'entrepôt ou au transporteur d'entreposer les marchandises, lesquelles seront récupérées par la suite). Les participants, comme l'exploitant d'entrepôt d'attente, peuvent également aviser les douanes de l'arrivée des marchandises. Le Ministère envoie ensuite à l'exploitant un message lui indiquant, selon le cas, que les marchandises sont dédouanées ou qu'elles sont renvoyées en vue d'un examen secondaire.
