Agent-based modeling differs from traditional, regression-based methods in that, like systems dynamics modeling, it allows for the exploration of complex systems that display non-independence of individuals and feedback loops in causal mechanisms. It is not limited to observed data and can be used to model the counterfactual or experiments that may be impossible or unethical to conduct in the real world. However, agent-based modeling is not without its limitations. The data parameters(such as the reproductive rate for infectious diseases) are often difficult to find in the literature. In addition, the validity of the model can be difficult to assess, particularly when modeling unobserved associations. 5, record 2, English, - agent%2Dbased%20modelling

But the real world bears little resemblance to a game where it is impossible to increase one's market power, and therefore there is no reason to try. It is just as rational to pursue ways to increase one's power [vis-à-vis] others in real market economies as it is to search for ways to increase the size or quality of the economic pie or reduce the time or discomfort of baking it. 1, record 3, English, - increase%20one%26rsquo%3Bs%20market%20power

Australia and New Zealand commemorate the ANZAC Day public holiday on April 25 every year to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps(ANZAC), and of all those who served their country. ANZAC Day is also a public holiday in Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga. The ANZAC tradition began in World War I with a landing on 25 April, 1915 near Gallipoli on the Turkish Aegean coast. Because of a navigational error, the ANZACs came ashore about a mile north of the intended landing point. Instead of facing the expected beach and gentle slope they found themselves at the bottom of steep cliffs, offering the few Turkish defenders an ideal defensive position. Establishing a foothold, the Anzacs found an advance to be impossible. After eight months of stalemate the Allies withdrew, leaving 10, 000 dead amongst the ANZACs and over 33, 000 British dead. 1, record 4, English, - ANZAC%20Day

A Project by the International Development Research Center(IDRC). "Quick access to medical information is essential for quality patient care, medical research, and monitoring health trends. But in many parts of the developing world, obtaining information has been difficult, if not impossible, due to poor communications infrastructure, economic conditions, or disasters. This information gap has been reduced thanks to a reliable, inexpensive health information system called HealthNet. Today HealthNet provides health-care professionals even in remote areas of the South with medical information that was previously unattainable. The network is active in more than 30 developing nations(including 22 African countries), with more countries scheduled to join in the near future. Partly funded by IDRC, HealthNet uses radio-and telephone-based computer networks and a low-earth-orbit satellite to transfer medical information from one part of the world to developing countries and vice versa. 1, record 5, English, - HealthNet%3A%20An%20Electronic%20Lifeline
