sigillé. Se dit d'une céramique faite d'argile fine à laquelle la cuisson donne une teinte brique, et que l'engobe rend brillante et dont le décor en relief imite celui des vases en métal. [...] On classe les céramiques sigillées d'après leurs formes (ouvertes ou fermées) et la richesse de leur décor, parfois très simple ou, au contraire, très complexe.
