[The] effort to win the liking and approval of other people, especially by deliberate impression management. 2, record 1, English, - ingratiation
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
One form of ingratiation involves demonstrating that you admire and respect a person, and that you value their opinions.... Another form of ingratiation is building the esteem of a subject, often through flattery... Many people are incredibly concerned with the impression that they make on others and are keen to make a positive first impression with strangers. Such reputation management is yet another ingratiation strategy : by placing emphasis on [their] positive attributes rather than [their] weaknesses, people try to present their most amiable qualities to others, in order to gain their favor. 3, record 1, English, - ingratiation

Interactive training is the delivery and management of training via CD-ROM, intranet and Internet. Digital movies, animation, graphics and sound develop interest, increase participant attention span and leave a multi-sensory lasting impression. The trainee actively participates in the training/learning sessions by means of a user-friendly interface that empowers the participant with a sense of control over what they are learning and the pace at which they are learning. Repetition, in whole or in part, replaces stress with enjoyment and challenge at a fraction of the cost of traditional approaches. 1, record 2, English, - interactive%20training
