Lighting designers... recognize the non-energy benefits that a well-designed lighting system can bring to the building project. Studies have shown positive correlations between daylight, views, and control of electric lighting with improved productivity, higher student test scores, faster patient recovery time, and overall comfort. Characteristics of a poor lighting system can have significant impacts on building occupants including headaches and fatigue. To achieve these non-energy benefits, designers need to consider daylight and views as well as electric lighting integration with daylight availability; personal lighting control as well as automatic lighting controls that save energy; proper commissioning of lighting controls as well as the specification of photocells and occupancy sensors. 2, record 1, English, - lighting%20system

Toe To Heel Water Flooding : An Effective Short Distance Oil Displacement Process for Light Heavy Oil Reservoirs.... Wascana Energy Inc. and Alberta Research Council invite you to attend an information session to describe the Toe-To-Heel Waterflooding(TTHW) process.... Background With the advent of horizontal wells in Improved Oil Recovery of heavy oils, a change is taking place in the approach to improved recovery of oil. Currently, there is a move from displacing oil in a flood pattern from injector to producers over long distances(of the order of hundreds of meters) to short-distance oil displacement(SDOD) processes(typically over a few meters). Due to the high viscosity of heavy oil, the displacement to producers located long distance away tends to make waterflooding inappropriate. Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage, Vapor Extraction and Toe-To-Heel Displacement Processes(TTHDP) belong to the SDOD processes. TTHDP can be applied as a non-thermal recovery technology, such as Toe-To-Heel Waterflooding or as a thermal technology such as Toe-To-Heel Steamflooding and Toe-To-Heel Air Injection. More than 17 laboratory tests of Toe-To-Heel Waterflooding(TTHW) showed that this process will provide good results for lighter heavy oil reservoirs(with viscosity less than 1200 mPas). Hele Shaw model tests indicated ultimate recovery factors substantially higher for the TTHW, when compared to conventional waterflooding using vertical wells. 2, record 10, English, - toe%2Dto%2Dheel%20combustion

Spandex-A generic term denoting a [manufactured] elastomeric fiber used in place of rubber. Spandex... offering the unique capacity for stretch and recovery. It can stretch to over five times its relaxed strength and fully recover. Spandex is used in support and light support products to provide the energy to shape and compress the leg.... Spandex is widely used in sock tops and pantyhose waistbands for its stretch/recovery properties and "stay up" holding power. It is increasingly used in corespun yarn and as plaiting yarn to replace textured nylon for better size range, improved fit, and comfort. 1, record 11, English, - elastomeric%20fiber
