(E)quity is the body of principles and rules developed since mediaeval times and applied by the Chancellors of England and the Courts of Chancery and, since 1875, chiefly by the Chancery Division of the High Court, as contrasted with the body of principles and rules of the common law developed and applied by the common law courts, of King’s (or Queen’s) Bench, Common Pleas, and Exchequer, and, since 1875, chiefly by the Queen’s (or King’s) Bench Division of the High Court ... This distinction also exists in states outside England which adopted from England the distinction in principles and in administration of justice between law and equity, and which in some cases maintain the distinction. "Special property"... may mean that the subject-matter is incapable of being in the absolute ownership of any person. Thus a man may have a property in deer in a park, hares or rabbits in a warren, fish in a pond, etc. ;but it is only a special or qualified property, for if at any time they regain their natural liberty his property instantly ceases, unless they have "animus revertendi".(A) person may have a special property in a thing in the sense that he can only put it to a particular use. Thus, in the case of a bailment, the bailee has a special property in the thing bailed, for he is only entitled to deal with it in accordance with the... bailment....(Jowitt's, 2nd ed., 1977, p. 1447) 1, record 56, English, - special%20property

When the thing is incapable of manual delivery, or where the situation of the parties or the circumstances of the case will not admit of it, it may be symbolic or constructive. In spite of the common use of the adjectives symbolic and constructive in the alternative, it should be noticed that there is a significant distinction between them, which the courts will, when the decision of the case requires it, not be loath to make. A delivery is constructive, when in place of actual manual transfer the donor delivers to the donee the means of obtaining possession and control of the subject matter, or in some other manner relinquishes to the donee power and dominion over it.(Brown, 3rd ed., 1975, p. 92). 1, record 64, English, - constructive%20delivery

Muskeg is a complex of wetland types that typically occur in cool, northern climates such as boreal forests. ...The colloquial, and widely misunderstood, term muskeg is used to refer to the complex mosaic of fens, bogs, swamps and pools, and scrubby forest that becomes increasingly common to the north ... Peatmoss is the common factor of muskeg and is where the term peatland is derived from. Pieces of herbs, shrubs and wood, such as buried tree branches, roots, or whole trees, can also make up a portion of the organic soil. Sphagnum moss is the mainstay of muskeg. It soaks up and holds several times its own weight in water. In the process, it keeps water from draining through the soil. 4, record 78, English, - muskeg

7, record 88, French, - sensibilit%C3%A9%20chimique%20multiple

Record number: 94, Textual support number: 2 CONT
[A] significant adsorptive characteristic is possessed not alone by carbons, charcoal and chars, but also by such materials as zeolite, silica, alumina, mica and some other. All these differ widely in the number and kinds of substances they adsorb, as well as in the amount of sorbed substances they will retain. In general, the silicaneous, metallic oxides and active earth types of adsorbents are electrically polar-that is, their molecular structure contains an unsymmetrical electron distribution. Since polar substances have strong attraction for one another and since water is highly polar, the polar adsorbents mentioned above retain water in preference to most other fluids and are, therefore, incapable of adsorbing non-aqueous gases efficiently from a humid atmosphere. For use in air conservation, however, which requires a sorbent to extract very small quantities of a very numerous variety of gases and vapors from either dry or humid air during a very brief interval of contact, non-polar adsorbents such as specially processed carbon of high activity, dense structure and extreme relative hardness have been found to be adequate. Activated carbon, being non-polar and hence electronically symmetrical in structure, has no particular affinity for moisture and preferentially adsorbs organic gases and vapors. 4, record 94, English, - nonpolar%20adsorbent

In 1955, Barnes and Loutit first described graft versus host disease(GVHD) in mice. Simonsen introduced the term graft-versus-host reaction in 1958 to describe the direction of the immunological damage caused by introduction of immunologically competent cells into an immunocompromised host. In 1966, Billingham proposed 3 conditions required for the development of GVHD, as follows :(1) the graft must contain immunologically competent cells,(2) the host must possess important transplant alloantigens that are lacking in the donor graft so that the host appears foreign to the graft, and(3) the host itself must be incapable of mounting an effective immunological reaction against the graft. According to the accepted definition, the immunologic assault itself and its consequences are referred to as GVHD. 3, record 98, English, - graft%20versus%20host%20disease
