What is the Mössbauer effect? In resonance absorption experiment, the energy of incident radiation should match exactly the energy separation between the two levels of the absorption system. For example, radiation of an Na atom matches exactly the excitation energy of the other Na atom and is, therefore, effectively absorbed by it. Applying the same logic to irradiation and absorption of gamma-rays, the same electromagnetic radiation as in the case of Na atoms only of higher energy being emitted by atomic nuclei, one would come to the same resonant condition which requires that the energy separation between the two levels in the source nucleus and those in the absorber nucleus should be exactly equal. 1, record 14, English, - source%20nucleus

Generally, the scattering coefficient, that is scattering area per unit area, is a function of incident angle and the scattering angle. However, in the case of remote sensing, the scattering angle is identical to the incident angle because the receiving antenna of radar or scatterometer is located at the same place as the transmitting antenna. Therefore, in remote sensing only back-scattering may be taken into account. 2, record 16, English, - scattering%20coefficient

The angle defined by the incident radar beam and the vertical (normal) to the intercepting surface. 3, record 17, English, - incidence%20angle
Record number: 17, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The incidence angle is commonly used to describe the angular relationship between the radar beam and the ground, surface layer or a target. A change of the radar illumination angle often affects the radar backscattering behaviour of a surface or target. The incidence angle changes across the radar image swath; it increases from near range to far range. In the case of satellite radar imagery, the change of incidence angle for flat terrain across the imaging swath tends to be rather small, usually on the order of several degrees. In the case of an inclined surface(slope), the local incidence angle is defined as the angle between the incident radar beam and a line that is normal to that surface. The local incidence angle determining, in part, the brightness, or image tone, for each picture element(pixel) and slope facet, is a key element in the prominent rendition of terrain features in radar imagery. 3, record 17, English, - incidence%20angle
