Ainsi, le prix à terme d'un actif est le prix au comptant majoré du coût du portage. Dans le cas d'obligations détenues, si le coût du financement est inférieur à l'intérêt produit, on dit que l'actif a un coût de portage positif. Il devient négatif si le coût du financement est supérieur à l'intérêt.
