Research that takes the gender dimension into account is found in most scientific disciplines. For instance, a legal research project may investigate how gender-neutral legal rules affect women and men differently. An example of this is the effect of retirement pension rules. In many countries the rules are universal and gender neutral, and pensions are based on previous income. In practice, however, this theoretically gender‑neutral rule may have different outcomes for women and men. Women who have worked part-time or stayed at home to take care of children receive much lower pensions than men(and women) who have worked full-time. In legal research, the gender dimension involves exploring how gender relations influence the distribution of rights and duties, benefits and disadvantages, legal protection and punishment. 2, record 7, English, - gender%20dimension

A ratio indicating the effect on total employment or on total income of a specified amount of a real capital investment. This important economic concept shows how fluctuations in the amount of investment..., although small in relation to the national income, are capable of generating fluctuations of much greater magnitude in total employment and income.... As the multiplier is the ratio between employment or income and investment, it is thus the reciprocal of the ratio of savings to income, i. e. the reciprocal of the marginal propensity to save. 4, record 15, English, - multiplier

The War Veterans Allowance(WVA) is a transfer payment program, which has been in effect since September 1, 1930. The program is a form of non-taxable financial assistance available to Canadian Veterans of World War I(WWI), World War II(WWII) and the Korean War. It also acts as a "window of access" to other programs(e. g., Veterans Independence Program, Assistance Fund) for recipients and "near-recipients"(individuals who would qualify, except they receive income through other income support programs). The purpose of WVA is to ensure that, in recognition of wartime service, eligible persons are provided with regular monthly income in order to meet their basic needs, and maintain dignity. 1, record 22, English, - War%20Veterans%20Allowance%20Program

3, record 26, French, - culture%20associ%C3%A9e

... the five-year formula [is] used by Canadian banks to calculate the provision for loan losses charged to income. Under the formula, the provision was based on the ratio of loss experience on loans for the five financial years, ending with the current year applied to the amount of loans at the end of the current financial year. The formula had the effect of smoothing the recognition of large loan losses in income. 2, record 36, English, - five%2Dyear%20averaging%20formula
