Best disease(Best vitelliform macular dystrophy, BVMD) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder due to the mutation of BEST1(or VMD2, TU15B...) gene with incomplete penetrance and variable expression which typically presents in childhood. However, there are also reports of autosomal recessive BVMD. Its characteristic presentation is by bilateral fundus changes of egg-yolk appearance(as in a fried egg with sunny side up) at the macula in both eyes. The retinal pigment epithelium(RPE) is primarily affected.... The visual prognosis of the disease is usually good, usually maintaining driving/reading capability in at least one eye throughout life. 5, record 4, English, - Best%26rsquo%3Bs%20disease

Police statistics on crime were first published in Canada in 1921 as a section of Criminal Statistics, 1920. These statistics were provided in the early years by only a small and incomplete number of municipal police forces. Over the ensuing four decades, there was a gradual increase in the number of police forces reporting and in the detail of the figures they reported. These statistics did not at all provide a full picture of crime or law enforcement in Canada, and were not comparable from year to year until 1 January 1962, when the Uniform Crime Reporting(UCR) System commenced. This system was developed by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics in concert with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, Committee on the Uniform Recording of Police Statistics. The UCR system was designed to provide more complete, accurate, and standardized(comparable) statistics on crime and police activity in Canada than had previously been possible. 1, record 11, English, - Uniform%20Crime%20Reporting%20System

1, record 11, French, - Syst%C3%A8me%20de%20d%C3%A9claration%20uniforme%20de%20la%20criminalit%C3%A9

The information available regarding the victimization of children and youth comes from official sources such as Youth Protection Services and the police. 3, record 46, French, - information%20asym%C3%A9trique

"Knowingly" or "With Knowledge" – Sometimes, knowledge of a material fact – an attendant circumstance – is a required element of an offense. A person has "knowledge" of a material fact if he is aware of the fact or he correctly believes that it exists. Most jurisdictions also permit a finding of knowledge of an attendant circumstance when the defendant is said to be guilty of "wilful blindness" or "deliberate ignorance," i.e., if the defendant is aware of a high probability of the existence of the fact in question, and he deliberately fails to investigate in order to avoid confirmation of the fact. 2, record 72, English, - attendant%20circumstance
