Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Incorrect temperature. Temperature plays an important role in chemical(and biological) deterioration processes. The rate of chemical reactions increases at higher temperatures. In principle, the lower the temperature, the longer the expected lifetime of objects and thus their usability in a museum context. 2, record 1, English, - incorrect%20temperature
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Temperature, unlike fire, water, pests, etc., cannot be considered an agent of deterioration—[one] cannot speak of avoiding "temperature. "From a collection risk and deterioration perspective, [one] must speak of incorrect temperatures. Three practical categories of incorrect temperatures arise. [Temperatures may be too high, too low, or there may be a fluctuation in temperature. ] 3, record 1, English, - incorrect%20temperature

An error committed by the observer during the process of measurement. 1, record 2, English, - error%20of%20observation
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Examples : a) In a measurement of luminous intensity or of a temperature of incandescence made by means of a contrast photometer or of a disappearing-filament optical pyrometer : the error due to incorrect equalization of illumination of the two zones. b) In a measurement by means of an alternating current bridge : the error due to an incorrect setting of the minimum intensity of sound in the telephone receiver. In these two examples, the error of reading the indication of the measuring instrument used represents only a small fraction of the total error of observation. 1, record 2, English, - error%20of%20observation

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
1, record 2, French, - erreur%20d%27observation
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 2, French, - erreur%20d%27observation
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS

The factors which contribute to the irreversible denaturation of soluble enzymes(aggregation, autolysis, etc.) are different from the factors likely to be responsible for irreversible denaturation of proteins... As a rule, denaturation of enzymes induced by elevated temperature, extreme pH values, or organic solvents can only be irreversible as a result of secondary processes, e. g., aggregation, chemical modification of functional groups, autolysis or degradation induced by admixtures of other enzymes, or breakage of the native disulphide bonds.... It is likely that the denatured immobilized enzyme may adopt an incorrect conformation upon removal of the denaturing conditions. In these circumstances it is proposed that subsequent denaturation and renaturation under controlled conditions may permit the immobilized enzyme to refold and renature to the correct conformation. 2, record 3, English, - irreversible%20denaturation

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 3, French, - d%C3%A9naturation%20irr%C3%A9versible
