Since the increased focus on sustainability and renewable energy, curtailment is most associated with the reduction of energy production and thus infeed from renewable sources to the grid to balance supply and demand. Curtailment of renewable energy sources, which are often subject to variable output due to weather conditions, usually happens during high wind or solar energy production in combination with low demand because the grid risks overloading from the excess. 3, record 1, English, - energy%20curtailment

Direct producer connection refers to the establishment of shortened supply chains where the production unit(farmer, fisher, artisan) sells goods directly to the consumer or local institution, bypassing conventional intermediary distributors. This model fosters transparency regarding production methods and pricing, facilitating relational trust between those who grow food and those who consume it. It represents a structural shift toward localized economic control and increased accountability in food provisioning. 1, record 2, English, - direct%20producer%20connection

Amid the evolution of the pharmaceutical industry, and more recently catalyzed by [COVID-19] and its implications on drug demand, delivery and the supply chain, parenteral drugs are experiencing increased demand. Whether administered intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously, the format creates new and critical avenues for drug delivery thanks to some favorable attributes around safety and efficacy. For one, parenterals allow for a controlled release—either gradual or instantaneous—that an oral medication cannot always provide. This format is critical to providing immediate pain relief, such as with epidurals during childbirth, or for continuously managing fluid levels, such as with saline solutions delivered [intravenously. ] 6, record 4, English, - parenteral%20drug

Balloon cardiac catheters improve or restore coronary blood flow. Doctors often use this type of coronary intervention to inhibit the effects of coronary artery disease where dangerous plaque build-up clogs arteries that supply blood to the heart. After placement with a guide wire, an inflatable balloon sits on the tip of the catheter and expands inside the artery to increase coronary circulation, allow for stent placement and deflates for removal after the artery is opened... An over-the-wire balloon catheter has two lumens : one for the guide wire and the other for balloon inflation. The guide wire exists independent of the balloon so two operators must perform the coronary procedure. A criticism of the over-the-wire catheter includes increased radiation exposure due to increased fluoroscopy time during balloon placement. 1, record 13, English, - over%2Dthe%2Dwire%20balloon%20catheter

Avascular necrosis has several causes. Loss of blood supply to the bone can be caused by an injury(trauma-related avascular necrosis or joint dislocation) or by certain risk factors(nontraumatic avascular necrosis), such as some medications(steroids), blood coagulation disorders, or excessive alcohol use. Increased pressure within the bone also is associated with avascular necrosis. The pressure within the bone causes the blood vessels to narrow, making it hard for the vessels to deliver enough blood to the bone cells. 1, record 20, English, - avascular%20necrosis

[In a restricted marine environment] If the climate is arid, evaporation exceeds inflow, and the water becomes hypersaline.... Under conditions of aridity, the restricted sea has adjacent lands with little or no stream action other than torrential episodes which may occasionally wash in detrital material. The sea may attain high temperatures, with excessive evaporation, and development of salinity greater than that of the open sea. Excessive evaporation produces a lowering of water level, and induces a permanent inflowing current of normal sea water across, or through, the restricting barriers.... If it were not for the continued inflow current, the history of restricted seas in arid climates would be short. The water would completely evaporate, leaving behind a relatively thin coating of saline residue. Maintenance of inflow from the open sea provides a continuous supply of dissolved salts, and a balance is reached between evaporation and inflow for given conditions. Inevitably, the concentration of salts within the restricted area is increased and may reach the saturation point for some. 2, record 26, English, - restricted%20arid%20environment

1, record 26, French, - environnement%20restreint%20aride
