The agreement establishes a framework for collaborative governance, management, and planning of fisheries resources in the territories of the five Nations. It supports implementation, capacity building, and commercial fishing access, and outlines a community-based economic fishery plan aimed at developing sustainable, self-reliant fisheries that contribute to both local and national economies.
