Although the terms "de-indexing" and "delisting" are sometimes used interchangeably, they are two distinct concepts. De-indexing prevents a web page from appearing in search engine results, regardless of the query entered. Delisting, on the other hand, prevents a web page from appearing only for certain queries, generally those containing the first and last name of a person who has requested delisting.

Public record books which are maintained in the official recorder's office, listing all recorded instruments and the "liber"(book) and page numbers where the complete and exact document can be found in the record books. Separate index books are maintained for grantors and grantees so that a document can be located by searching under either name. These books are indexed by year and are in alphabetical order by grantor in the grantor index and by grantee in the grantee index. They contain the following information : kind of instrument; name of grantor; name of grantee; date of instrument; book, page, and date of recording and description. Also called "name-indices. There are two ways that a searcher can circumvent this tedious process of using the Grantee indexes to "go back" on a title. Another lawyer can let him borrow his title abstract... The other method is the use of "tie-in clauses". For example, assume that at the end of the legal description in a 1984 deed from G. H. to I. J., the conveyancer who prepared the deed were to add a clause to the following effect : Being the same lands described in a deed from E. F. to G. H. dated Jan. 7, 1972 and recorded at(Halifax) Registry of Deeds office on Jan. 7, 1972 in Book 2529 at page 47. The searcher wouldn’t waste time searching the Grantee index, starting in 1984-he’d immediately open Book 2529 to page 47 and examine the deed to G. H.(Howlett, 1986, p. 5). 1, record 7, English, - tie%2Din%20clause

An alternative and far superior approach to indexing is the tract or parcel index, but it is available in only a handful of states. Here a separate page or set of pages in the index books is devoted to each tract of land, such as a quarter-quarter section, a specific block in a subdivision, or even an individual parcel of land. This page reflects the history of the tract's title from the time of the original conveyance from the sovereign.(Cunningham, Stoebuck and Whitman, 3rd ed., 1984, p. 797). 1, record 8, English, - parcel%20index

An index is one of the facilities to be used in making a search for a record; its object is to point out the book and page in which a particular record may be found, and its utility and practical necessity are unquestioned. In many jurisdictions there are statutes requiring a recorder to keep an index of all deeds, mortgages, and other liens or encumbrances.(66 American Jurisprudence, 2nd ed., p. 395). 1, record 9, English, - index

Under the grantor-grantee or alphabetical index, pages are assigned in the index to each letter of the alphabet. As an instrument is received at the recorder's office, it is first recorded and then indexed under the name of the granting party on the appropriate page of the index. In addition, the county recorder is usually required to make notations on the grantor's page which disclose the name of the other party to the transaction, the book and page of the record where this particular transaction can be found, a description of the property, the date when the instrument was executed, the date when the instrument was filed for recordation, and the nature of the instrument. These same notations are then made as the transaction is indexed under the name of the grantee or the receiving party. After both steps have been completed, the instrument is considered to have been properly indexed.(Axelrod, Berger and Johnstone, 1971, p. 551). 1, record 10, English, - grantor%2Dgrantee%20index

Design of Geotextiles Association with Geomembranes.... Geomembranes, used to line ponds, canals and dams, can be damaged by stresses caused by underpressures of liquids and gases or by mechanical actions. Since the first use of a geotextile associated with a geomembrane ... geotextiles have been increasingly used to drain liquids and gases beneath geomembranes and protect geomembranes from mechanical actions.... It is shown that geotextiles, used as filters or drains, do not have the drawbacks that granular materials, such as sand and gravel, have when they are in contact with geomembranes. 1, record 13, English, - geotextile%2Fgeomembrane%20association

3, record 16, French, - thermo%2Dh%C3%A9liochimique
