Ophthalmoscopy can be broken up into two types, direct and indirect. Direct ophthalmoscopy provides an upright, unreversed image of around 15 times magnification, while indirect ophthalmoscopy produces a reversed, inverted image magnified [two to five] times. Indirect ophthalmoscopy can then be further divided into monocular indirect ophthalmoscopy(MIO) and binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy(BIO). 4, record 1, English, - indirect%20ophthalmoscopy

3, record 1, French, - ophtalmoscopie%20indirecte

An instrument designed to visualize the interior of the eye, with the instrument at arm’s length from the subject’s eye and the observer viewing an inverted image through a convex lens located between the instrument and the subject’s eye. 4, record 2, English, - indirect%20ophthalmoscope
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Indirect ophthalmoscope. It has a separate power supply, a separate illumination, separate focussing and magnifying system [than the direct ophthalmoscope. ] The illumination system is worn on the forehead of the examiner. The magnifier also known as condenser is held in the right hand of the examiner.... The indirect ophthalmoscope gives a real, inverted and magnified image of the fundus. The image is formed in front of the eye of the patient. The magnification depends upon the power of the magnifier. The stronger is the magnifier(condenser), the less is the magnification. 5, record 2, English, - indirect%20ophthalmoscope

Oftalmoscopio indirecto. 1, record 2, Spanish, - oftalmoscopio%20indirecto

If you don’t have eclipse glasses or a handheld solar viewer, you can use an indirect viewing method, which does not involve looking directly at the Sun. One way is to use a pinhole projector, which has a small opening(for example, a hole punched in an index card) and projects an image of the Sun onto a nearby surface. With the Sun at your back, you can then safely view the projected image. Do NOT look at the Sun through the pinhole! 1, record 3, English, - indirect%20viewing%20method
