A gender-based analysis(GBA) is a tool to both understand the local context and to support gender equality. A GBA examines the relationships between men and women, girls and boys, their access to resources, their activities, and the constraints they face relative to each other in a particular context. It identifies the varied roles played by women and men, girls and boys in the household, community, workplace, political processes and economy. These different roles often result in women having less access to and control over resources, and less participation and influence in decision-making processes. A GBA also considers how other intersecting identity factors such as race, ethnicity, LGBTQ2I [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, intersex], legal status, ability, language, religion, socio-economic status, and education, affect individual and group experiences, including among women and among men. Gender equality is not exclusively about women's or girls’ issues and is not only about working with or for women and girls. Men's and boys’ engagement is critical. 5, record 3, English, - gender%2Dbased%20analysis

7, record 3, French, - analyse%20comparative%20entre%20les%20sexes

The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen(French : La Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen) is one of the fundamental documents of the French Revolution, defining a set of individual rights and collective rights of all of the estates as one. Influenced by the doctrine of natural rights, these rights are universal : they are supposed to be valid in all times and places, pertaining to human nature itself. The last article of the Declaration was adopted on 26 August 1789, by the National Constituent Assembly(Assemblée nationale constituante), as the first step toward writing a constitution. While it set forth fundamental rights, not only for French citizens but for all men without exception, it did not make any statement about the status of women, nor did it explicitly address slavery. 1, record 9, English, - Declaration%20of%20the%20Rights%20of%20Man%20and%20of%20the%20Citizen

1, record 9, French, - D%C3%A9claration%20des%20droits%20de%20l%27homme%20et%20du%20citoyen

acting out : the tendency to express urges, conflicts, and fantasies in uncontrolled action. In acting-out, the individual seeks to release impulses that are usually of a sexual or aggressive nature in order to gain relief from tension or anxiety. For instance, a girl who is afraid of men because of some traumatic family experience, but who refuses to face up to the extent of the trauma during psychotherapy because of increasing fear of it, will begin suddenly to flirt with a number of men. In this way she "proves" to herself and the therapist that she is not afraid of men and therefore does not really need to discover any cause of her fear. 2, record 19, English, - act%20out
