When the Business Partnering Model was first presented, the role of a broker within the Director, Human Resources’ team had been developed whose responsibility was routing all requests to the appropriate service centre, tracking all requests to ensure service standards were met, and providing information to managers and the team on the status of individual service transactions. After long discussions, the broker role was replaced by a Business Line Team(BLT). This team is part of the Organization and Resourcing Services. On a matrix basis, a team will be set up for each client Branch/SOA. Headed by a Senior Consultant, reporting to the Resourcing Manager, the team represents a mix of skills and resources to meet client needs as defined by a service agreement negotiatied by the Director, Human Resources. The Senior Consultant, BLT and his/her team will work in partnership with the Director, HR team and will provide constant feed back on results and issues impacting service delivery to the client. Members of the BLT team are at all levels of the organization from support to officer. The make up of the Business Line Team is reviewed annually based on client business plans and service agreements. The Business Line Team is the client's single point of access for staffing, organization design and classification request. It is also responsible for providing these services in the most strategic and cost-efficient way for the client. The Director, HR team will keep the BLT abreast of any client issue, general direction and priority that might impact on service delivery. 2, record 15, English, - Business%20Line%20Team

2, record 15, French, - %C3%89quipe%20de%20secteur%20d%27activit%C3%A9

A field line is a locus that is defined by a vector field and a starting location within the field. A vector field defines a direction at all points in space; a field line may be constructed by tracing a path in the direction of the vector field. More precisely, the tangent line to the path at each point is required to be parallel to the vector field at that point. Field lines are useful for visualizing vector fields, which consist of a separate individual vector for every location in space. If the vector field describes a velocity field, then the field lines follow stream lines in the flow. Perhaps the most familiar example of a vector field described by field lines is the magnetic field, which is often depicted using field lines emanating from a magnet. 1, record 21, English, - field%20line

It challenges the individual to establish goals for superior performance and to strive for personal excellence. Vector graphics are images that are stored as a set of instructions. Vector graphics must be displayed in Windows metafile format (files with a CGM extension). Vector graphics are used when the sections or dimensions of an image must be modified often. Software packages that create vector graphics usually portray a skeleton, or wire frame of the image. The symbol of mass production is the continuous production line, such as the type of installation on which automobiles are assembled. Such a line, however, represents only a part of the total planning and engineering which are necessary for the manufacture of a product. Individual parts and assemblies are in themselves the products of production lines which are often located many miles away from the location where they are assembled into the completed automobile. The final assembly line can be likened to a river which, as it progresses toward the ocean, is continually augmented by a host of contributory streams. 3, record 29, English, - production%20line

3, record 35, French, - spectre%20d%27%C3%A9mission

Fulton Surface-To-Air Recovery System. The recovery kit is dropped to the person to be recovered who then puts on the overall-type harness and inflates the balloon which carries an attached lift line. An HC-130H engages the line with its V-shaped yoke and the individual is reeled on board. Red flags on the lift line guide the pilot during daylight recoveries; lights on the lift line are used for night recoveries. Recovery kits were designed for one and two-man recoveries, but eventually proved impractical for most rescue purposes. Voters are more discerning than the critics of hyperdemocracy. Technology's new challenge ideally at least, is to re-empower voters and revitalize democracy through more direct popular representation. Pitfalls do abound. The same technology able to identify and link citizens and political institutions will also necessarily facilitate nationwide identification systems and increased governmental surveillance. This will undoubtedly prompt a second neo-Orwellian howl to accompany an elitist shudder over entrusting the people-the booboisie as a 21st century cybermob. But overall, the favorable balance that should result is compelling. Here are five critical circumstances and developments that we should all monitor carefully in the future : putting politics on line, creating virtual Washington, expanding individual voting, creating national referendums, and increasing choice of parties. 1, record 51, English, - hyperdemocracy
