La résonance magnétique nucléaire, RMN, est l’une des méthodes spectroscopiques d’analyse de la matière. Par rapport aux autres méthodes spectroscopiques, la RMN se situe à l’échelon le plus bas de l’échelle des énergies mises en jeu. En conséquence la RMN permet un examen extrêmement détaillé et non destructif de l’échantillon. Le phénomène physique de base est le magnétisme nucléaire. La très grande majorité des éléments possède cette propriété au moins sous certaines formes isotopiques.
