An energy performance contract(EPC) is a performance-based financing mechanism that enables a client organization to leverage the technical and financial capacity of an energy service company(ESCO) to design, build, and secure financing to improve energy management practices and/or retrofits within a facility or group of facilities. This contracting model is a low-risk, turnkey service that delivers guaranteed energy and cost savings. The ESCO assumes some, or all, of the initial capital costs, and the client repays the ESCO over a specified period from the resulting utility cost savings. After the contract closes, the client receives ongoing savings from energy, GHG [greenhouse gas] emissions, and utility costs. 2, record 1, English, - energy%20performance%20contract

Direct listings are an alternative to initial public offerings(IPOs) in which a company does not work with an investment bank to underwrite the issuing of stock. While forgoing the safety net of an underwriter provides a company with a quicker, less expensive way to raise capital, the opening stock price will be completely subject to market demand and potential market swings. In a direct listing, instead of raising new outside capital like an IPO, a company's employees and investors convert their ownership into stock that is then listed on a stock exchange. Once the stock is listed shares can be purchased by the general public … 2, record 3, English, - direct%20public%20offering

Stocks, also commonly referred to as equities or shares, are issued by a public corporation and put up for sale. Companies originally used stocks as a way of raising additional capital, and as a way to boost their business growth. When the company first puts these stocks up for sale, this is called the initial public offering. Once this stage is complete, the shares themselves are then sold on the stock market, which is where any stock trading will occur. 2, record 4, English, - stock%20trading

1, record 4, Spanish, - comercio%20de%20acciones

A stalking horse bid is an initial proposal to buy an asset from a distressed company(most often one that is bankrupt or in bankruptcy protection). Usually, the company or its receiver will select a buyer willing to make an offer. The idea is to establish a minimum price for the asset, by getting a first bid out in the open. This keeps lowball offers off the table and sets up a competitive bidding process. The stalking horse bidder usually gets a break fee if it doesn’t end up as the eventual winner. 2, record 7, English, - stalking%2Dhorse%20bid
