In the world of investing, anchoring bias manifests when investors rely heavily on initial information, such as past performance or a specific price, when making decision. For example, if an investor sees a stock at a historically low price, they may anchor their expectations of its future performance solely based on that low price, without considering other relevant factors. 1, record 2, English, - anchoring%20bias

One way of coming to grips with the properties of complex systems is through a field of mathematics devoted to the study of so-called cellular automata. The best way of explaining its style of analysis is by example. Imagine a long row of boxes-some black, some white-arranged to form some initial pattern, a starting stage. The row of boxes is to give rise to a second row, just below the first. The way that takes place in a cellular automaton is that each box in the first row is subject to a set of reproduction rules. 4, record 8, English, - cellular%20automaton

Angular rate gyro accuracy is characterized by two parameters: scale factor and drift. The scale factor describes the capability of the gyro to accurately sense angular velocity at different angular rates. This value is used to convert the voltage output from the gyro into an angular rate. System imperfections can cause small variations in the scale factor. These variations appear as a factor at the output of the gyro. Gyro drift characterizes the ability of the gyro to reference all rate measurements to the nominal zero point. 3, record 22, English, - angular%20velocity

Angular velocity is the time rate of change of angular displacement. More simply it is a measure of how fast an object is rotating. For example, the measure of a skater's spinning speed during a sit spin is called angular velocity. Angular velocity is calculated by subtracting the initial angular position from the final angular position and dividing by the time it took to get from the initial to final position. Angular velocity is measured in radians/second(SI units) or degrees/second or revolutions/second(English units). 4, record 22, English, - angular%20velocity

Formal Security Policy Model. A mathematically precise statement of a security policy. To be adequately precise, such a model must represent the initial state of a system, the way in which the system progresses from one state to another, and a definition of a "secure" state of the system. To be acceptable as a basis for a TCB, the model must be supported by a formal proof that if the initial state of the system satisfies the definition of a "secure" state and if all assumptions required by the model hold, then all future states of the system will be secure. Some formal modeling techniques include : state transition models, temporal logic models, denotational semantics models, algebraic specification models. An example is the model described by Bell and LaPadula.... 1, record 27, English, - security%20policy%20model

The experience of grasping a part. It includes everything from the cognitive understanding of the situation, to the mechanical interaction with the part. In our definition, prehension includes all the processes between the initial desire and the final finished function. For example, the desire begins with a wish to drink coffee. Then, based on experience a grip is chosen, the hand moves to the cup, manipulation occurs, drinking is performed, and the cup is set down again. Thus prehension is more then just the gripping action itself; it involves the complete thought processes from the beginning to the end of the task. 1, record 28, English, - prehension

Typical physiographic features associated with saltmarsh are the creeks, which serve as drainage channels, and pools, which are known as pans. The type of creek system depends on the initial substrate, whether muddy or sandy, local fresh-water drainage channels, and the type of primary colonist, for example, annual species of samphire(Salicornia) or clumps of ricegrass(Spartina)(...).
