The formation of the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Record Association can be credited to the initial work of the Central Newfoundland Regional Medical Records Committee established in 1977. Challenged with the purpose of discussing issues of common concern, this committee grew in size and scope to become a forum for mutual problem solving and education advancement. Initial topics discussed at the Central Newfoundland Regional Medical Records Committee include patient care plans, medical audit programs, and family profiles. From the success of these meetings, it was proposed that a provincial association be established. 1, record 10, English, - Newfoundland%20and%20Labrador%20Health%20Record%20Association

The first numerical weather prediction models used the quasi-geostrophic or Q-G approximation, which consists of using the geostrophic wind for the actual wind everywhere except when computing divergence. The Q-G approximation eliminates both sound and gravity waves as solutions to the equations of motion. The Q-G equations are often referred to as the filtered equations since they filter out sound and gravity waves. This allows a larger time step to be used, as well as eliminating the problem of balancing the initial conditions. 3, record 12, English, - filtered%20equation

To determine whether and what kind of training is needed, the manager or the training specialist(or both working together) should look at the current work situation, decide what skills are needed, and determine what skills the staff lack. There are two types of training needs assessments : one for basic training of new staff and one for strengthening the skills of current staff. The distinction between the transient and permanent regime is essential : in particular, the "steady-state regime" must be understood as the regime that is reached asymptotically, long after transients have decayed(long time limit). The lack of valid criteria for the clinical diagnosis of cardiogenic embolism is a major problem in both patient care and research. The aim of this study was to identify features on the initial computed tomogram of the brain that discriminate between patient groups with and without a cardiac source of embolism. To gain insight into the neuroradiological features relevant to the diagnosis of cardiac embolic stroke, we studied the initial computed tomogram of the 1, 267 patients with ischemic stroke. 2, record 28, English, - cardiac%20embolic%20stroke

To make the search computationally tractable, DEBUGGY assumes that the simple bugs that interact to form multiple ones can also be detected individually. This means that there exists at least one problem in which either the simple bugs appear in isolation or the complex bug is consistent with their individual manifestations. On this assumption, the generate-and-test method is first used to construct an initial hypothesis space. Every primitive bug is tested, plus a few very common combinations, and only those for which there is evidence in the data are kept. The initial hypothesis space is further reduced by eliminations of certain overlaps in coverage, with preference for multiple over single evidence. Next, the bugs in this initial hypothesis space are combined, and every combination that explains more than its parts is retained in the set of hypotheses. 1, record 29, English, - initial%20hypothesis%20space

An engineer who is responsible for directing and integrating all technical aspects of the project such as the design/development process. Typically a project engineer manages a product throughout the engineering process for initial design/development. If a problem exists in a functional department, a project engineer is responsible for working with the functional department to correct the problem. In some companies the project engineering function is, in effect, the project management arm of the engineering department. 2, record 30, English, - project%20engineer
