Record 2 1985-12-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Air Pollution
CONT

A crude model for estimating dry deposition in the initial phase, i. e. before complete mixing in the boundary payer has taken place, is presented. It is shown that because of the much more rapid rate of vertical dispersion in an urban environment compared to that in a rural area the proportion of sulfur dioxide emitted that is deposited locally is larger in a small city than in a large city, provided the velocity of dry deposition is the same.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Pollution de l'air
CONT

Record 3 1977-10-11

English

Subject field(s)
  • Plane Geometry
  • General Mechanics (Physics)
DEF

time rate of linear motion in a given direction (...)

CONT

(...) determine the initial velocity so that the rope will arrive at the window with a zero vertical component of velocity.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Géométrie plane
  • Mécanique générale (Physique)
DEF
