At the heart of the flotation process is the flotation cell, of which several designs are available. Here, air in the form of small bubbles is blended with the grey stock. The air bubbles become attached to ink and dirt particles, causing them to rise to the surface of the cell where they are removed as a dirt-laden layer of froth. Typically, 6 to 10 flotation cells in series are required for efficient ink removal depending on the level of dirt in the stock. 1, record 1, English, - Voith%20flotation%20cell

2, record 1, French, - cellule%20de%20flottation%20Voith

Cell angle-Anilox cells are engraved in a linear pattern, and at various angles. Typical anilox cell angles are 30 °, 45 °, and 60 °. It is important to understand that the screen angle of the printing plate and the cell angle of the anilox roll can combine to cause an objectionable moiré pattern, even if only one-color halftones are being printed... While an anilox cell angle may be selected to help avoid moiré, the problem of moiré is usually avoided by angling the separation screens. Research and experience has shown that the 60 ° angle allows for more complete ink transfer, and is becoming the preferred cell angle for flexographic printers. 2, record 2, English, - cell%20angle

The surface of the anilox roller is defined by the cell wall ratio and the separation of the individual cells by the cell wall, in general a high ratio should be the target. The better the demarcation of the cell through the land areas, the more regular is the successful inking of the image particularly of fine printing elements. The cell wall ratio should be as high as possible so that the surface of the printing plate is clean. In order to achieve a constant ink transfer volume, not only must the cell wall ratio be defined but also the characteristics of the cell wall. 3, record 4, English, - cell%20wall
