INLET COLUMN [7 records]

Record 1 1999-09-07

English

Subject field(s)
  • Analytical Chemistry
DEF

A T-fitting attached to the column to divert a portion of the flow. An inlet splitter allows introduction of very small samples to a capillary column. An effluent splitter may be used to permit parallel operation of two detectors.

OBS

The stream splitter serves to divide the effluent in order that part can pass to the detector and part to the fraction collector or to a second detector.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Chimie analytique
Key term(s)
  • robinets diviseurs

Record 2 1998-05-14

English

Subject field(s)
  • Analytical Chemistry
CONT

The liquid emerging from the column is pumped back into the inlet and allowed to pass through the same column several times.

Record 3 1996-03-25

English

Subject field(s)
  • Analytical Chemistry
DEF

In this method, most of the high-velocity flow of carrier gas through the inlet is shunted to atmosphere, and a very small portion of that flow stream is placed on the capillary column.

Record 4 1982-03-18

English

Subject field(s)
  • Pipes and Fittings
  • Equipment and Tools (Water Supply)
  • Water Treatment (Water Supply)
CONT

For distribution of air bubbles, circular shaped flotation units are superior to rectangular units, especially for medium-size constructions(diameters less than 10 m-33 ft). The distance between the inlet column and the outlet funnel is shorter, and an almost uniform distribution of the bubbles can be maintained over the entire horizontal section of the unit.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Tuyauterie et raccords
  • Équipement et outillage (Alimentation en eau)
  • Traitement des eaux
OBS
