Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), also called semibulk containers, are larger than conventional drums and heavy-duty shipping bags but smaller than a bulk vehicle (eg. a tanker truck). One of its major distinguishing features is the absence of protrusions (eg, bilges) for manual handling. It is, by definition, designed for mechanical handling ... IBCs contain the product directly, unlike box pallets ... which generally contain packaged products. IBCs are available in many different materials. Those that carry solids are generally made of rigid or collapsible metal, rigid plastics; corrugated paperboard; wood or reconstituted wood; heavy-duty coated fabric; or plastic-tape fabric. Those that carry liquids are generally made of rigid metal; rigid plastic; corrugated paperboard; or flexible materials (eg, rubber-coated fabric, or polyurethane film). 1, record 10, English, - intermediate%20bulk%20container

A typical induction innerseal consists of a pulp board liner, a layer of wax, aluminum foil, and a polymer that is compatible with the lid of the plastic container. As the container and cap pass under the induction coil, a varying magnetic field heats the aluminum foil, which melts the wax and polymer, sealing it to the lip of the container. thermoscellage par induction : Méthode de thermoscellage des opercules en aluminium mince, fondée sur le chauffage à hautes fréquences par champ d'induction.

3, record 13, French, - machine%20de%20thermoscellage%20par%20induction

At the point of use, the membrane is torn or peeled off, and subsequent reclosure is accomplished by the screw cap or snap-on lid that initially protected the membrane against mechanical damage. Such a membrane provides visual evidence of tampering. 3, record 14, English, - inner%20foil%20seal

An inner seal that is applied on the top end of a container through the induction-sealing process. 2, record 15, English, - induction%20seal
Record number: 15, Textual support number: 1 CONT
A typical induction innerseal consists of a pulp board liner, a layer of wax, aluminum foil, and a polymer that is compatible with the lid of the plastic container. During induction sealing the cap, with the inner seal, is placed on the container. As the container and cap pass under the induction coil, a varying magnetic field heats the aluminum foil, which melts the wax and polymer, sealing it to the lip of the container. Thus, the innerseal leaves an hermetic layer of foil and polymer coating on the top of the bottle. If the foil seal is broken, any tampering is immediately apparent to the consumer. 1, record 15, English, - induction%20seal

"F. Martin's Recording balance" produced by the Prolabo Co., Paris, works on the hydrometer principle. A cylindrical container is hung from the right balance arm and is surrounded by an external sedimentation cylinder. The suspended material is poured into the cylinder, and the scales are balanced. As the particles gradually settle, the buoyancy operating in the inner cylinder becomes smaller. The force exerted on the left balance beam is therefore increased proportionally to the weight of the settling particles. The scales are automatically kept balanced during the whole sedimentation process. 1, record 16, English, - Martin%26rsquo%3Bs%20recording%20balance

1, record 16, French, - balance%20Martin
