A marker beacon used with an instrument landing system (ILS) (CAT [clear air turbulence] II) precision approach located between the middle marker and the end of the ILS runway, transmitting a radiation pattern keyed at six dots per second and indicating to the pilot, both aurally and visually, that he/she is at the designated decision height (DH), normally 100 ft above the touchdown zone elevation, on the ILS CAT II approach.

A number of aircraft holding at a common fix with vertical separation.

CONT

An aircraft leaves the holding stack(a series of elliptical patterns flown at assigned altitudes while awaiting clearance to land), if there is one, and approaches a runway through an outer and an inner marker. Airport surveillance radar and approach lights are used to assist the pilot.

The mitochondrial enzymes show a definite compartmentation. The outer membrane contains NADH-cytochrome-c-reductase, which consists of a flavoprotein and cytochrome b3. Monoamine oxidase is the specific enzyme marker of this membrane. The outer compartment contains adenylate kinase and other soluble enzymes. The inner membrane carries all the components of the respiratory chain and of oxidative phosphorylation.

Enzyme dont la localisation est préférentielle dans tel ou tel organite subcellulaire de tel ou tel tissu. Sa présence, mieux même, l'augmentation de sa concentration (mesurée par l'intermédiaire de son activité enzymatique) est un signe de l'enrichissement progressif des fractions subcellulaires successivement obtenues, en l'organite recherché (noyaux, mitochondries, lysosomes, etc.).

On a parfois abusivement étendu au cerveau, à la rate, au poumon, etc. de l'Homme, des résultats d'enzymes marqueurs dont l'affectation n'est réelle à tel ou tel organite subcellulaire que dans le foie du rat mâle de souche Wistar! Malgré tout, le bilan de l'usage des enzymes marqueurs demeure largement positif pour une meilleure connaissance des relations structure-fonction au niveau cellulaire.
