Mineral dust appears a promising source of sublimation nuclei. Dust produced by the disintegration of rocks and blown to fairly high levels is a probable source of supply. Sand from desert regions is another possibility. It is likely that both the mineral dust and the sand contain suitable minerals, such as quartz, which have a hexagonal crystal structure. 5, record 1, English, - mineral%20dust

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Nanomaterials have a much greater surface area to volume ratio than their conventional forms, which can lead to greater chemical reactivity and affect their strength. Also at the nanoscale, quantum effects can become much more important in determining the material’s properties and characteristics, leading to novel optical, electrical and magnetic behaviours. 6, record 2, English, - nanomaterial

7, record 2, French, - nanomat%C3%A9riau
