A feature vector is a structured list of numbers in which each number represents the value of one feature of an object or phenomenon described in the dataset. When feature values are not initially given as numbers, they are converted into numerical values before being integrated into the vector. Feature vectors are provided as an input to machine learning models.

A program that uses information in natural language input to fill data structures that the rest of the system can use; it identifies the various components of the input sentence and constructs an internal representation using syntactic and semantic clues.

X-TRA and XTRA-TE share the same analyzer, a syntax driven top-down, depth-first parser written in the formalism of definite clause grammars..., but augmented with semantic routines for carrying out lexical and structural disambiguation. The parser takes the English input sentence... and accomplishes syntactic/semantic analysis on the list. Syntax and semantics are closely integrated so that syntactically well-formed but semantically invalid parses are ruled out as early as possible.

A command line utility originally written for use with the Unix operating system.

The name comes from a command in the Unix text editor ed that takes the form g/re/p meaning "search globally for matches to the regular expression re, and print lines where they are found". This describes the default behavior of the grep command. Grep takes a regular expression on the command line, reads standard input or a list of files, and outputs the lines containing matches for the regular expression. There are various command line switches available when using grep that modify that default behavior.

The appropriate output conveyor is determined using the output station assignment list. The item travels along this output conveyor until reaching the correct output station. It is diverted at its output station and then is destroyed.

Once a predetermined quantity of mouldings have been loaded into the box a signal is sent to the moulding machine to inhibit its cycle while the full box is automatically transferred to the output conveyor and an empty box moved into place, this takes 5 seconds.

The NAC(National Archives of Canada) holds immigration records from 1865 to 1935. The names of immigrants arriving from overseas are recorded in passenger lists. Those arriving from or via the United States are recorded in border entry lists. A series of old nominal indexes exist for the 1925 to 1935 records. In cooperation with the NAC, the Pier 21 Society in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has input the information from the passenger list indexes into this database.

Il existe une série d'index nominatifs pour les dossiers datant de 1925 à 1935.
