A clutch brake is a circular metal disc with friction material attached to both sides. Two tangs on the clutch brake match machined slots in the transmission input shaft. The clutch brake is mounted on these slots, between the release bearing and the transmission. This mounting arrangement allows the clutch brake to move back and forth along the input shaft. The purpose of a clutch brake is to stop or slow the input shaft from rotating, allowing the gears to mesh without grinding/clashing. This eliminates damage to non-synchronized transmissions, and minimizes the effort required when shifting from neutral into first or reverse from a standstill.

The clutch cover is screwed to the engine flywheel. It transfers the engine torque to the clutch disc on the transmission input shaft. The landing gear of the BE-10 aircraft is a fully retractable tricycle configuration, driven by a 28-volt motor located on the forward side of the main spar. The main gear actuators are driven from the motor gearbox through torque shafts. The nose-gear actuator is driven by a duplex chain from a sprocket on the motor gearbox. The input shaft to the nose-gear actuator drives a series of rotating gears inside the actuator. These gears rotate a screw into and out of a lubricated aluminum-bronze alloy nut. The movement of the screw through the lubricated nut extends and retracts the nose landing gear.

The gear ratio of the differential gearbox. The differential gearbox distributes the engine's power(via the transmission input shaft or propellor shaft) to the wheels. The axle ratio of the differential reduces the revolutions of the transmission input shaft before it reaches the wheels. Typical automotive axle ratios are in the range of 2. 7 : 1 up to 4. 3 : 1. The higher the ratio, the faster the engine will rev at a particular vehicle speed.

Aileron control is supplemented by the flight spoilers which are controlled by the spoiler mixer. The spoiler mixer senses aileron movement and automatically provides the correct amount of spoiler deflection.

There are two lateral control mixers, one located in each main gear wheel well. The mixers allow the spoiler system to be operated by the speedbrake control lever, by the aileron control wheels, or by both simultaneously.... Each mixer consists of a bracket; a shaft supporting the aileron input drum, aileron output drum, and a spoiler cam; two cam follower arms; two spoiler sectors; and connecting links, cranks, and pushrods.

Low energy gas(LEG) is produced by air gasification processes where a portion of the input wood(about 20 percent) is combusted with air to provide process heat. LEG can be used to displace fossil fuels by retrofitting oil or gas-fired boilers, kilns, dryers and space heaters. In addition, it can be cooled and cleaned for use in internal combustion engines to generate shaft power or electricity. Due to the low energy content, economics dictate that the gas be used immediately and not piped great distances.
