In conventional vibration testing of space hardware, the acceleration input to the base of a test article is controlled to specifications that are typically derived from the article interface acceleration at higher level of assembly. This conventional approach to testing has been known for over 30 years to greatly overtest the test article at its own natural frequencies. In recent years, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory led the development and implementation of an improved method called force limited vibration(FLV) testing. In addition to controlling the input acceleration, the FLV testing measures and limits the reaction forces between the test article and the shaker. 1, record 5, English, - force%20limited%20vibration%20testing

5, record 11, French, - immersion

The Hipparcos Input Catalogue was constructed as the observing programme for the European Space Agency's Hipparcos astrometry mission. The requirements of the project in terms of completeness, sky coverage, astrometric and photometric accuracy, as well as the necessary optimisation of the scientific impact, resulted in an extended effort to compile and homogenize existing data, to clarify sources and identifications and, where needed, to collect new data matching the required accuracy. This has resulted in an unprecedented catalogue of stellar data including up-to-date information on positions, proper motions, magnitudes and colours, and(whenever available) spectral types, radial velocities, multiplicity and variability information. The catalogue is complete to well-defined magnitude limits, and includes a substantial sampling of the most important stellar categories present in the solar neighbourhood beyond these limits. 3, record 15, English, - Hipparcos%20input%20catalogue

A variation of the CVT [continuously variable transmission] is the IVT or toroidal transmission, where a pair of rollers rotate between an input and an output disc. Modifying the angle of the rollers changes the gear ratio. This transmission system is capable of handling higher torque while providing greater driving comfort and faster gear ratio changes. However, it is limited by disadvantages such as increased cost, installation space, and weight. However, Getrag is already working on IVTs for BMW. 1, record 16, English, - infinitely%20variable%20transmission

Low energy gas(LEG) is produced by air gasification processes where a portion of the input wood(about 20 percent) is combusted with air to provide process heat. LEG can be used to displace fossil fuels by retrofitting oil or gas-fired boilers, kilns, dryers and space heaters. In addition, it can be cooled and cleaned for use in internal combustion engines to generate shaft power or electricity.
