[A] 360-degree video can provide viewers an immersed experience. For example, [a] 360-degree video can provide a viewer with a virtual reality experience, putting the viewer in a virtually different time and/or place. As another example, [a] 360-degree video can provide a viewer with a first-person view of video content captured by a remote device (e.g., an unmanned aerial vehicle, or other device). One method for capturing [a] 360-degree video is to use an omnidirectional camera. Omnidirectional cameras can capture a wide field of view with just a few lenses. The resulting images exhibit a fisheye effect.

A user experiences a 360° video by rotating the camera about the center as well as in effect rotating the perspective or FOV [field-of-view] while viewing the video. According to an embodiment of the … invention, the camera, or view, is changed based on user input such as by using a mouse, keyboard, mobile device, controller, head-mounted display, or virtual reality headset. In this way, the end user adjusts the view manually or directly. Camera, or view orientation changes provide meaningful insight into how a user experiences a 360° video.

The Loss of Load trip is a contact input from the Electro Hydraulic Control System control oil pressure on each of the four high pressure stop valves. … 10. Loss of Load. The Loss of Load(turbine stop valve(TSV) control oil pressure) trip is anticipatory for the loss of heat removal capabilities of the secondary system following a turbine trip. The Loss of Load trip prevents lifting the pressurizer saftey valves, PORVs and MSSVs in the event of a turbine generator trip. Thus, the trip minimizes the pressure and temperature transients on the reactor by initiating a trip well before reaching the Pressurizer Pressure – High trip and pressurizer safety valve setpoints. The four RPS Loss of Load reactor trip channels receive their input from sensors mounted on the high pressure TSV actuators. Since there are four high pressure TSVs, one actuator per valve and one sensor per actuator, each sensor sends its signal to a different RPS channel. When the turbine trips, control oil is dumped from the high pressure TSVs. When the control oil pressure drops to the appropriate setpoint, a reactor trip signal is generated.

An Advisory Committee on Assistive Devices has been formed to provide the Minister of Industry, with advice on how to support the advancement of assistive technologies in Canada. The Committee's first meeting was held in Ottawa, October 31-November 1. This committee(ACAD) meets three times each year to provide input to the Minister of Industry on issues dealing with the assistive technology industry. It also provides input on the departmental planning process to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are taken into account. For example, it was on the recommendation of the ACAD that the Information Highways Applications Branch included accessibility as a criteria in the applications process for the Community Access Program. ACAD will next be looking at issues of procurement as a development tool and making recommendations on how to ensure that people with disabilities are well served by the Connecting Canadians agenda.

A survey of Statistics Canada, number 2703. This survey provides estimates of the number of passengers traveling on scheduled commercial flights between Canada and the United States by directional origin and destination. The data are used by Transport Canada and the Canadian Transportation Agency for evaluating competition in the industry, developing policies for the exchange of air services with foreign countries, for airport planning and market research. The Hipparcos Input Catalogue was constructed as the observing programme for the European Space Agency's Hipparcos astrometry mission. The requirements of the project in terms of completeness, sky coverage, astrometric and photometric accuracy, as well as the necessary optimisation of the scientific impact, resulted in an extended effort to compile and homogenize existing data, to clarify sources and identifications and, where needed, to collect new data matching the required accuracy. This has resulted in an unprecedented catalogue of stellar data including up-to-date information on positions, proper motions, magnitudes and colours, and(whenever available) spectral types, radial velocities, multiplicity and variability information. The catalogue is complete to well-defined magnitude limits, and includes a substantial sampling of the most important stellar categories present in the solar neighbourhood beyond these limits.

Any arc welding method in which the current is pulsed to utilize the advantages of the spray mode of metal transfer at average currents equal to or less than the globular to spray transition current. [Definition standardized by the AWS.]

Pulsed spray welding is a variation of the MIG welding process that is capable of all-position welding at higher energy levels than short circuiting arc welding. The power source provides two current levels; a steady "background" level, which is too low to produce spray transfer; and a "pulsed peak" current, which is superimposed upon the background current at a regulated interval. The pulse peak is well above the transition current, and usually one drop is transferred during each pulse. The combination of the two levels of current produces a steady arc with axial spray transfer at effective welding currents below those required for conventional spray arc welding. Because the heat input is lower, this variation in operation is capable of welding thinner sections than are practical with the conventional spray transfer.
