In a hypertext system, an underlined or otherwise emphasized word or phrase that, when clicked with the mouse, displays another document.

To create a hypertext link to another page, you need to use the... container tag together with its href attribute which tells the browser what new URL is being referenced, i. e. the page to display when the user clicks on the hypertext. Whatever text you insert between the... container tags becomes the hypertext.

OBS

Hyperlinks are what allow users to move from one page to a connected page on the World Wide Web. An "anchor" to the link is displayed on the page and can take the form of either text (hypertext) or multimedia (hypermedia). Collectively, links are referred to as hyperlinks.

Ces liens sont spécifiés au moyen du langage HTML (hypertext markup language), un langage de marquage utilisé pour créer ou mettre en forme les documents destinés au Web.

Un hypertexte est un ensemble de données textuelles numérisées sur un support électronique, et qui peuvent se lire de diverses manières. Les données sont réparties en éléments ou nœuds d'information - équivalents à des paragraphes. Mais ces éléments, au lieu d'être attachés les uns aux autres comme les wagons d'un train, sont marqués par des liens sémantiques, qui permettent de passer de l'un à l'autre lorsque l'utilisateur les active. Les liens sont physiquement «ancrés» à des zones, par exemple à un mot ou une phrase.
