Today, advances in medical technology enable speech production by means of a voice prosthesis. By creating a small surgical passage(TEP, or Tracheoesophageal Puncture), inside the stoma, from the back wall of the trachea into the esophageal wall, a small one-inched valved tube(voice prosthesis) can be placed into this passage to enable tracheoesophageal speech. Voice is produced by blocking the stoma, either with a finger or an adjustable tracheostoma valve, so that exhaled air from the lungs can be directed from the trachea through the prosthesis into the esophagus(where vibrations are produced) and then out through the mouth. Fluent, conversational speech is usually acquired within a few days. 2, record 2, English, - voice%20prosthesis

3, record 2, French, - proth%C3%A8se%20vocale

A typical micronic type filter... utilizes an element made of specially treated paper which is formed in vertical convolutions(wrinkles). An internal spring holds the elements in shape. The micronic element is designed to prevent the passage of solids greater than 10 microns(0. 000394 inch) in size. In the event that the filter element becomes clogged, the spring loaded relief valve in the filter head will bypass the fluid after a differential pressure of 50 p. s. i. has been built up. Hydraulic fluid enters the filter through the inlet port in the filter body and flows around the element inside the bowl. Filtering takes place as the fluid passes through the element into the hollow core, leaving the foreign material on the outside of the element. 3, record 5, English, - micron%20filter

Various methods for immobilizing enzyme molecules have been examined. Physical adsorption and chemical bonding of enzyme molecules to solid surfaces have been studied extensively, but these techniques often cause inactivation of the enzyme and, in extreme cases, denaturation. Weather protection fabrics are usually coated or laminated on just one side(either inside or outside) with a microporous coating or membrane. The coating blocks water from penetrating through its microscopic pores, but allows easy passage of sweat vapors. It's an effective system. But Entrant SC goes it one(layer) better. This garment's new Entrant SC is coated on the inside with a microporous material and also covered on the outside by a revolutionary new, ultra-thin coating that shed water better than any known system. By keeping the honeycomb pores or the inner coating from cogging with water, the breathability of the total fabric system is improved dramatically. 1, record 11, English, - Entrant%20SC

1, record 11, French, - Entrant%20SC
