The resulting images exhibit a fisheye effect.

In place of the tungsten or silicon needle, the MFM has a magnetized nickel on probe. When the vibrating probe is brought near a magnetic sample, the tip feels a force that changes its resonance frequency and hence its vibration amplitude. The MFM can trace the magnetic-field pattern emanating from data-recording heads at a resolution of better than 25 nanometers. The device can also study the structure of the magnetic bits that store data on disks and other media, giving insight into both head performance and the quality of the storage medium.

Certified Employee Benefit Specialist(CEBS) Program was established in 1977 through a partnership of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The International Foundation, the largest educational organization in the employee benefits field, is responsible for the overall administration of the program. The Wharton School, one of the preeminent business schools in the U. S., oversees academic content and standards. In 1986, in cooperation with Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the International Foundation established a CEBS program in Canada to meet the specific professional development needs of Canadian employee benefits personnel. No other employee benefits or compensation program provides the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight through such a broad university-based curriculum.

The RADARSAT Antarctic Mapping Mission(AMM) has important significance for the scientific community. Almost 70% of the Earth's fresh water is contained in the Antarctic region, and changes in this enormous reservoir directly influence world sea levels and climate. The new digital radar map will provide an unprecedented detailed portrayal of the surface form and features of the ice sheet. This RADARSAT based map will help scientists to better understand the dynamic behaviour of the ice sheet and provide them with a greater insight into the effects of human activity on the Southern Continent.

La nouvelle carte radar numérique fournira un relevé d'un niveau de précision sans précédent des caractéristiques et du relief de l'inlandsis. Cette carte constituée à partir d'images RADARSAT aidera les scientifiques à mieux comprendre le comportement dynamique de l'inlandsis ainsi que les répercussions de l'activité humaine sur le continent austral.

The Marketing Research and Intelligence Association(MRIA) is a Canadian not-for-profit association representing all aspects of the market intelligence and survey research industry, including social research, competitive intelligence, data mining, insight, and knowledge management. The MRIA was founded on November 21, 2004, after the membership of the three Canadian associations representing the industry voted overwhelmingly in favour of merging. The newly created body, which begins operations on January 1, 2005, presents a unified voice for the industry, pulling together all of the products and services formerly offered to the public and the respective members of the now dissolved Canadian Association of Market Research Organizations(CAMRO), the Canadian Survey Research Council(CSRC) and the Professional Marketing Research Society(PMRS).

Public Service Integrity Office, 2004. The purpose of this report is to provide a general overview of several prominent public interest disclosure regimes throughout the world. Seven jurisdictions will be compared and analyzed in this paper : the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, Korea and Israel. This selection will demonstrate significant contrasts between the public service cultures in Commonwealth countries versus non-Commonwealth countries. Furthermore, the differences between specific mechanisms and the general nature of each of these disclosure regimes will provide insight into their respective advantages and disadvantages.

Sometimes the interpretation of STM topographs are not straightforward and therefore theoretically modeled STM images may resolve conflicting possibilities and point to an underlying atomistic model.

Contrairement aux microscopes électroniques à transmission ou à balayage, on peut, avec un STM, obtenir des images à l'air ou même dans un liquide. En première approximation, ces images reproduisent la carte des iso densités d'électrons des atomes de la surface. Quand les maxima de densité sont localisés sur les atomes (cas le plus fréquent), les images STM peuvent représenter la cartographie, à résolution atomique, de la surface explorée.
