Our everyday prototype of strategy discovery seems to be Archimedes’ insight in the bathtub concerning how to find out whether the king’s crown was made from pure gold. Within this prototype, strategy discovery involves a sudden burst of understanding and is accompanied by a conscious ’aha’ (or ’Eureka’) experience; the discoverer not only uses the strategy for the first time but immediately understands why it works and what types of problems it can solve. The appeal of this view lies not only in its drama but also in its simplicity. Discovery is seen as involving a sudden, discontinuous change from not knowing to knowing. 6, record 2, English, - ah%2Dha%20experience

Beyond the understanding of the transition to turbulence... the problem remains of the nature of developed turbulence characterized by an energy cascade from large scale coherent structures where energy is injected to small-scale intermittent structures where it is dissipated(Kolmogorov, 1941). Though a global picture is still lacking, we may hope to gain a deeper insight into this problem by combining recent advances in the theory of space-time chaos with our understanding of dissipative dynamical systems, the first being perhaps more adapted to small scales and the second more relevant for the description of the large scales. 1, record 4, English, - developed%20turbulence

2, record 4, French, - turbulence%20d%C3%A9velopp%C3%A9e

The lack of valid criteria for the clinical diagnosis of cardiogenic embolism is a major problem in both patient care and research. The aim of this study was to identify features on the initial computed tomogram of the brain that discriminate between patient groups with and without a cardiac source of embolism. To gain insight into the neuroradiological features relevant to the diagnosis of cardiac embolic stroke, we studied the initial computed tomogram of the 1, 267 patients with ischemic stroke. 2, record 5, English, - cardiac%20embolic%20stroke
